Open-air market starts today
Downtown Beach Street is taking on a more international flavor this weekend with the arrival of the French Market. Italian pasties, Indian sarongs, African Batik art, pottery and tribal jewelry are just some of the ethnic items consumers can purchase from vendors and artisans set up at stands from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. along Beach Street, stretching from Orange Avenue to Bay Street.
